I have enjoyed living here on California’s Central Coast since 1984.  I have been in the construction industry since 1989.  Starting as an apprentice carpenter, I eventually obtained my General Contractors license.  Wanting to improve my skills and broaden my base of knowledge, in 1998 my experience helped me move into the Building Inspection Industry.  As a Combination Building Engineering Inspector and a Plans Examiner with the County of Santa Barbara, Building and Safety Division, inspecting in all phases of construction, I gained the vast knowledge required for conducting a thorough inspection of your property .  My years of experience as a building inspector led me to the opportunity to once again expand my knowledge. As the Plans Examiner for the City of Santa Maria, Building Department, I gained the knowledge and experience needed for meticulous and precise report writing.

I have been certified as a Building Inspector and a Plans Examiner by the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) and by the International Code Council (ICC).  My involvement in ICBO and ICC also includes holding the Offices of Treasurer (2003), Vice-President (2004) and President (2005) for the Central Coast Chapter of ICC (CCCICC)

Although my background in the Construction and Inspection Industries has made my transition into Property Inspection quite seamless, I realize that no one knows everything and we should continue to learn everyday.  Acknowledging these facts, I enrolled in the Advanced Home Inspection Training program and attended the Inspection Training Associates (ITA) course, where I very successfully completed the most intense Property Inspection course in the Nation.  I am also a member in good standing of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) and abide by its Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Continuing Education requirements.

Outside of the business world, my wife and I keep busy with the many activities of our three daughters and their menagerie of animals.  My passion is auto racing, (actually…therapy for being outnumbered at home) and most weekends I can be found turning wrenches at the local speedway.
